HUELGOAT

Huelgoat (from the Breton for "high wood") is a charming small lakeside town on the edge of the forest of Huelgoat, renowned for its gigantic boulders steeped in legend. There are many signposted walks through the forest. The town itself has a pretty little square which hosts a variety of bars and restaurants, a small cinema, banks, bakeries, pharmacy, and a small supermarket. Every Thursday morning  a market is held in the square, where many local producers sell their goods. On the outskirts of the town  lies a large supermarket with a 24 hour petrol filling station. In the square there is also a Tourist Information Office.
